What Causes Pain In Right Rear Side Of Neck And Swishing Noise In Ears?
hi. i have a pain in the right rear side of my neck. my neck feels weak and i have a swishing noise in my ear. when i press the front of my neck, near the carotid, the swishing stops. when i release it, the swishing starts again. advil and glucosamine gives me minimal relief from the pain.

Hi,
Noted the history of pain at the back of neck, swishing sound in ear which stops on pressing on carotid on the same side, Advil and glucosamine gives minimal relief for pain.
With the proper history we can be almost sure that there is a vascular problem wherein there may be vascular malformation like hemangioma, A-V malformation.
This can be diagnosed by the following ways:
Arteriography of the carotid.
Audiometry.
Examination by an ENT, Vascular Surgeon can help for clarifying the diagnosis and have a plan of management.
This may be done by embolization, direct surgery or son as would be decided by an experienced Surgeon dealing with such cases.
As for the pain in neck and weakness your Doctor on examination will know the exact cause and give proper management.
