What Causes Pain In Right Side Of Body Despite Taking Meloxicam Post Facet Rhizotomy?

I had a facet rhizotomy this past Monday on the right side and it s now 7 days later and I have pain which seems to be radiating from below and above where my former pain was. Is this normal? My doctor said it could take a week to get relief but I feel even with Meloxicam, the pain is worse than before.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Though typically the pain should decrease within the time suggested by your doctor in some cases it can last longer though it should not be increasing in its intensity.
It should be the same or decreasing.

Since you note that it seems to worsening, it would be best for you to see your doctor for a review

Persisting or worsening pain after a procedure can sometimes indicate an infection may be present so this would have to be ruled out by examination by your surgeon

I hope this helps
