As per your complain pain in throat and pain on opening the mouth too wide can be due to formation of dry socket as it is a very painful condition and inflammation caused due to it can lead to pain in throat, jaw,head ,eye on affected side and can cause difficulty in mouth opening.. In this case placement of zinc oxide eugenol dressing in the extraction socket after irrigation with hydrogen peroxide, betadine and saline followed by antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be relieving.. But in case if you have difficulty in swallowing with red inflamed tonsils along with white patches over them, it can be due to infection caused by bacteria or virus.. I would suggest you to consult your dentist and get evaluated and in case it is throat infection warm saline gargles,throat lozenges,and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection along with maintaining hydration and avoiding spicy and hard foods can provide relief..
