What Causes Pain In Shoulder, Neck And Below Collarbone?

I ve had pain in my shoulder and neck for many years now, but recently it has moved down my arm and across me chest. Also, in the last few months I ve noticed a know just below my collarbone. It is painful to the touch. I ve had an Mri done on my shoulder and it was normal. Also had a chest X-ray it was normal. The doctors that I ve seen don t want to do an invasive tests, but it is almost unbearable now and some days I can barely even move my arm. What can this be?

Hello,

Your complaint above looks like can be a nerve related pain and its a referred pain, can be a nerve pain for cervical region. Consult a neurologist MRI cervical spine would give a better insight, since you have already considered the mostly likely diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suchita Yohan Halli, Emergency Medicine Specialist
