What Causes Pain In Spine After Having A Heavy Fall?

Hi my husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer, had the operation and is doing very well because it was
caught in its early stages, all test after shows he is now negative, recently he had a fall have constant pain in spine, been taking painkillers which have helped a bit. been sent for MRI scan awaiting response we are worried that he might have a problem associated with his previous cancer, p[ls advise
any idea what is causing the pain in his spine.?

In short: Any heavy fall may cause fracture injury to spine/ Pathological fractures with secondaries was a possibility if the fall was trivial in nature

Explanation: Any fall/injury to the spine may cause pain in the spine. You are worried because he was diagnosed with bowel ca way back. Its good that you have visited doctor who has advised MRI for you.
Wait for the report and consult your doctor with the report , till then be calm and patient.
