hi there. my husband has 5 stents in his arteries. 2 months ago one of the stents were blocked and now has been instructed to take 2 different types of blood pressure meds as opposed to one due to his blood pressure rising. ok, now he is experiencing stomach aches, head aches, stiff neck. upset feeling when he eats. this is recently, this last week. he went to his pcp this morning and he told him to take an aspirin and sent him on his way. His blood pressre si stable now, do his symptons sound familiar?

Hello,

It is possible that the stomach aches and headaches your husband is experiencing could be side effects of the blood pressure medication he is taking. Some medications can cause gastrointestinal issues, headaches, and other symptoms. However, we should rule out other health problems unrelated to medications, especially when it comes to stent re-blockage.

For this, it is important for your husband to continue to communicate with his caring doctor about any symptoms he is experiencing. He/she may need to adjust the medication dosage or prescribe a different medication. They may also want to run additional tests to rule out any underlying conditions that could be causing the symptoms. Meanwhile, make sure your husband is taking medications for stomach issues such as PPIs or antacid to alleviate the symptoms. Keep in touch with his caring doctor, highly recommended.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
