What Causes Pain In Stomach Post Intestinal Perforation?

I had an emergency illestomy on Sept 24-14. My bowel had perforated, I have a large incision which has healed on the outside, but there remains a tunnel under the incision which has been leaking through my front passage, I have an appointment to see my family doctor on Jan 9 but I am out of the province and returning on Jan 6, I am experiencing pain in my stomach where the incision is and wondering if I have an infection in the tunnel area.

HI

Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query

yes it is looking like infection only and if neglected it may enter into your abdominal cavity and can cause serious problem.

You need to be started on Antibiotics immediately else the infection may enter into your abdominal cavity. Infact I advise you to get Ultrasound Abdomen Pelvis scan to check whether the infection has already entered your abdominal cavity.

Kindly consult a doctor and get started on Antibiotics.

Hope this information is useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.
