What Causes Pain In Temples After Flashing Bright Light On Eyes?

I had an eye exams earlier today. For one of the pre-tests, I had my eyes checked with picture being taken direct into my eye with very bright flashes. I had to have it done a few times as my eyes were closed at first. I now have an ache in my temples and have felt slightly dizzy all afternoon. Will this wear off overnight?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the temple ache after bright flesh light is reactionary phenomenon of the body to high intensity light signals as temporal muscles do get tensed through that. It is a matter of couple of hours to get this issue settled down soon. Deep breathing exercises and meditations help in this regard.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
