What Causes Pain In Testicles On Coughing After An Injury?

I was hit with an unexpected snowball to my testicles six days ago. I am still in a fair amount of pain. Is this normal? I get random cramps, it hurts to cough sometimes. I asked my doctor and she didn t even check it out. My left one seems to be moving more than normal and the right one hardly at all. I can t get comfortable and I am very concerned. Should I go to the ER?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems your right sided testicle is traumatized and inflamed. You need earliest consultation of a urologist to identify exact and extent of trauma, followed specific treatment (antibiotic, anti-inflammatory drugs) for early relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
