What Causes Pain In The Abdomen And Middle Back?

I had sudden onset of abdominal pain, also in mid back upon arising this morning. It has during the day also moved down into both R & L sides. It is a nagging pain & I keep wanting to belch. I suspect both pea soup & red kidney beans eaten yesterday. Heat packs have given me no comfort. What to do?

Hi,

As per your description first, the probable diagnosis comes to my mind is kidney stones. However, ultrasound abdomen is required to confirm it or to evaluate other cause. So consult a surgeon.

Till then for symptomatic pain relief, you can take dicyclomine tablet.
