What Causes Pain In The Abdomen That Radiates Out To The Pelvic Area?

Hi, I ve been having slight twinges of pain in my pelvis for about an hour, every 5 minutes or so. They don t hurt badly or anything, just take me by surprise for a second or two. Neither side, just seem to come from the center of my abdomen and radiate out to the entire pelvic area. I m 49 years old. Just making sure it s nothing to worry about.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Transient abdomen pain radiating to pelvis can be part of intestine colic, gravels or calculus in the urinary system, ovarian pathology or else. Primary relief with antispasmodic tablet as dicyclomine or drotaverine and later on as per the need you may need an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis for final diagnosis and further management guidelines accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
