Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been having pain in my abdomen area for several months, i have had ultra sound of the the liver, pancreas, and galblatter which came back normal, I had a ct scan of the pelvis and abdomen 2 weeks ago and my doctor said my pancreas was 91 when 60 is normal but he didn t think this was a problem. What should be the next course of action? I have not been back to the Dr. since they didn t find anything. I am a 72 year old, white male, 5ft. 10in, weighting 204lbs. , and drink 2 glasses of wine at dinner daily.
You should have your amylase or lipase measured, and probably be referred to a gastroenterologist for consultation. A gastroscopy with ultrasound of your pancreas would also likely be indicated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
