What Causes Pain In The Arms And Shoulder After Taking Allopurinol?
my husband is taking allopurinol 100 mg for gout. he is experiencing severe muscle pain in his.. arms, wrists and shoulders. Pain so bad it wakes him at night. he is also taking a water pill, metforman and hb pressure med. Can his pain be caused by this?

It is not related to Allopurinol.
It may be a simple muscular pain.
As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
