What Causes Pain In The Arms, Shoulders And Wrists?
Hello, I have a very soreness in my arms. Shoulder, elbow& wrist joints ache, the shoulder area in particular. This has been occurring for quite some time now , I have a job that requires hard physical work (carpenter) & the symptoms are getting worse gradually.I am taking a small amount of over the counter painkillers (ibuprofen 200mg) but it is offering only a very small decrease in the pain for a short amount of time. I would appreciate your opinion on this. Thank you
There may be many reasons for your pains. However, if there is no alarm symptoms like joint stiffness, fever, rashes then I would suggest you should take some vitamin D supplements along with calcium and wait for a month. I hope these would settle.
But if there are any alarm symptoms as above, or things don't improve with vitamin D and calcium then you should see your doctor for proper assessment and management.
Also, it's important to avoid wrong postures during the job.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
