What Causes Pain In The Back And Knee In An Elderly Person?

I am 61 yrs female with severe pain on the back of my leg mainly in the knee area. it has happened several times in the past week or so but not at all as severe. This started last night and now I can barely walk on it. I have had no injury. What can I do ? Also I have taken Tylenol and 1/2 a tramadol twice with no relief.

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Sometimes the pain is of unknown cause which can be relieved by taking acetaminophen or a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as ibuprofen or naproxen.but if it persists then I suggest you go for NCCT lumbosacral vertebra to rule out any disc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
