What Causes Pain In The Back Of Head And High Blood Pressure?
Hello, All day at work I have had a headache in the back of my neck and flushing feeling in my face along with some anxiety and I took a bp reading to make sure my pulse wasnt too high and my blood pressure was 152/110 the first time and 140/101 the second. How can I make it go down fast? or do I need medical assistance?
High blood pressure means above the pressure of 120/80. So both measurements have high pressure.
High blood pressure is the main reason for a headache and pain behind your neck. Reason for high blood pressure may be stress, partial blockade in your artery, family history etc.
For reducing the pressure you should avoid salt consumption in any food. Also, reduce the consumption of sugar by any means.
Have brief walking for 30 minutes a day.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
