What Causes Pain In The Back Radiating To The Chest?

For the last couple of days - mid-afternoon I have had a back ache mid back that seems to radiate to the center of the front of my chest. It usually goes away after a few hours and applying an ice pack to my back seems to help. I feel a bit nauseous during that time and somewhat overheated
