What Causes Pain In The Backside Of The Neck?

hi i have had pain in the back of my neck on both sides throbbing. also on and off sharp pain behind my ears that moves up my head. my neck feels stiff when moved on both sides and back of neck. it has gotten worse over a week. no other symptoms. i have been using ibuprofen and bengay they are not making much of a difference now. i am on metformin and anti depressions for pcos and 3 weeks ago i was on a steroid for a rash on my stomach. can you please help me

Neck pain can be due to nerve compression or can be due to muscle spasm. in your case nerve compression is more likely.
you can have the bandage around neck to restrict its movement. and also if you are working long over the computer, you can correct your postures to avoid such strains.
