What Causes Pain In The Ball Of The Feet?

I rode 25+ miles on my bike last weekend. Since then, I have had pain in the ball of my foot, made worse by walking (the pushing off motion). It is also sensitive to pressure in some areas, when I touch it. I am wondering if this could be a stress fracture?

If the pain is only due to movements and the area is swollen there is possibility of stress fracture mild strain is possible due to stress however you need to role out gouty arthritis which also involves same area
