Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have started walking 3 miles every day this past week. I had been very sedentary before that and need to lose weight and lower my cholesterol. I started walking and almost immediately the ball of my right foot started hurting. The next day it hurt worse while walking but was better when I took Excederin. It hasn t let up for over a week now and I m wondering what is wrong. The pain is located at the base of my toes on the ball of my foot (about in the middle).
Hi thank you for querry as you mentioned that you have overwight cholestrol problem and start walking you must go for serum uric acid test some time hyperurecimia or gout may cause the pain in big toe. continue daily exercise along with diet control less meat and more veg and go for ECG all basic test to rule out any associated disease.
