What Causes Pain In The Bones?

Thanks! I am on Protonics. I am not comfortable with it. My bones really ache, like nothing I ve ever felt. I am a retired nurse. I had estrogen positive breast cancer in the 90s, and try to keep medications to a minimum. Obviously I cannot type! Thanks. I do not have reflux much...and would like to get off of this med. What would your advice be? What is the new info. on protein pump inhibitors? Thanks. MM

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sorry to hear about your disease. You are right, prolonged use of drugs should be discouraged. Proton pump inhibitors though much used for long time, but now studies clearly show thy these should not be used for long time. So if you have no symptoms, we can always think of stopping it. Talk to your doctor in this regards.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
