Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Breast And A Hard Lump Below The Nipples?
okay so my boob has been hurting for several days and I thought it was because of my period or something I don t know but today I was feeling my boob and under my nipple there s a hard bump there, I am going to go to the doctor but I was wondering do you think the reason behind it leans more to being pregnant or having breast cancer?
You are having a painful lump in your breast. So I strongly suggest you consult a nearby surgeon for physical examination and then you need to take biopsy or FNAC from the lesion.
The FNAC report or histopathology will be beneficial to rule out underlying etiology.
It can be a cancerous condition as well. So don't wait and just investigate with biopsy or FNAC to reach up to final diagnosis. You can revert back with reports once done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
