What Causes Pain In The Buttock Cheeks And Legs?

Hi doc, I have been getting pain from my right buttock coming down my leg. It has been going on for some time so much so that I have to stop and then walk. Now the pain has also gone to my left buttock and pain in both my legs making it difficult for me to walk. I have to stop walking after about 5 minutes of walk. I smoke. I did go for a doppler test 3 years ago but it was clear. What could this pain be due to?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a sciatica pain.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.
I also suggest gentle stretching exercises.
If the symptoms continue, you should see a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
