What Causes Pain In The Chest And Left Armpit?

I have slight pain in my chest , it feels as though as someone is squeezing my heart a little. Plus I have dull pain in my left armpit. Also I m on sucralfate 1gm for my acid reflux. When I take one theses pills the pain goes down. I have no other problems.

If the pain is relieved by the use of the sucralfate , that may indicate that it is due to acid reflux only but if there is a history of heart disease, high blood pressure , diabetes, smoking, high cholesterol- then you should be seen.

If the pain is very severe or there is associated shortness of breath or palpitations then you should also be seen.
