What Causes Pain In The Chest And Shoulders After A Tubal Ligation?
I had tubal today and the gas pain wasn t the worst part until I laid down and it s in shoulders, chest, whole upper torso and hope to get best sleep position for relief? I can say after 4 children that this pain bypasses any of their births and pp. I m also a recovering addict so take home pain killers aren t for me! Ibprophen is all I m taking , should I be taking more or different ?help me please!
Tubal ligation done laparoscopically needs gas tor the procedure. This can irritate the diaphragm hence the pain in the shoulder and so on. Your case is complicated by the recovering addiction which gives more pain. You may need further evaluation by an Ultrasonography of abdomen to see whether there is any bleeding or so that is causing more pain and if so may need re-exploration for stopping the bleeding or to get treated for infection if present. More and powerful painkillers may be needed if there is no evidence of bleeding or infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
