What Causes Pain In The Chest While Breathing?

I experienced a two minute episode of stabbing pain in the heart, worsening upon taking a breath. I massaged the area and the pain eased, enabling me to breathe deeper. The episode didn t last long, but the pain was literally breath-taking, sharp and deep, into the heart.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of pulled muscle related pain is more likely.
But better to first rule out heart diseases because pain was at heart area.
So get done blood pressure monitoring, ecg, 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Avoid movements causing pain. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Don't worry, you will be alright but first rule out heart diseases.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
