What Causes Pain In The Ears And Sinuses?

I have a lot of pain in my sinuses and ears. Have been treating w Mucinex and neti pot but pain seems to be increasing. The last two days I have have several hives on my face near my mouth but don t think I have introduced anything new. Could all of these symptoms be related?

Thanks for the query..

Pain in sinuses and ears can be due to sinus infection or Sinusitis..

At times it can also be due to allergies..
As the symptoms are also associated with hives it can be probably Allergic reaction..

So my suggestion is to first of all consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..
A blood test, ear examination and PNS view x ray of sinuses can be done for confirmation..

You can be advised antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkillers like Advil, anti allergics like Levocetrizine, decongestant nasal spray..
If it is allergy steroid nasal spray can also be advised..

Along with it doing steam inhalation, saline nasal irrigation and antibiotic ear drops can be advised for relief..
