What Causes Pain In The Eye With Eyelid Drooping?
About 2 months ago, I woke and could not open my left eye. It to a few seconds of concentrated effort before it would open. Since then it has happened about 6 more times. Now when it happens my eye aches for hours afterwards and my upper lid seems to be drooping a bit. What could be going on?

Is there any swelling or edema of the eye? is there any difficulty in swallowing or breathing problems?
The possibility of myasthenia gravis or renal failure or cranial nerve palsy or eye infection etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
