What Causes Pain In The Feet?

Hi. I have very painful feet, have for years, but getting worse now. I walk to excessive and stand at work, but sometimes these things make it worse, sometimes it doesn t. Some days my feet are burning, throbbing, and hurt like the dickens. Other days the inside of my ankles may hurt, sometimes the balls of my feet hurt and burn. Then there are days where the bones on top of my feet hurt.......or ALL OF THE ABOVE AT THE SAME TIME! I ve started to see a podiatrist and go back in a few weeks for a look at the X-rays. But until then......might you have any ideas on how to relieve the pain!? I ve tried hot baths, sometimes rolling a frozen water bottle under my feet, taking pain meds including meloxicam prescribed by doc. Nothing helps.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to condition like plantar fasciitis arthritis.
As a first line management you can take analgesics like scoot Tramadol for pain relief: if symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
