What Causes Pain In The Forefinger Radiating To The Thumb?

The doctor has immobilized my right index finger, and has helped, but the pain is now radiating from the index finger down to the thumb, and feels like that part of the hand is tearing, the muscles feel like they are tearing. I was in a car wreck 7-21-16. What could be causing this? I do not have the money to pay for the answer at this time. Thank you for his time reading my question. My back was broken and not working, so money is very limited.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan. We have to rule out possible causes like carpal tunnel syndrome.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
