What Causes Pain In The Gallbladder And Vomiting While Having Bowel Obstruction?
My husband has pain from what we think is a gallbladder attack. He also has acid. He just started vomiting I want to take him to ER because he has a history of bowel obstruction but he insists that since he is passing gas he couldn t have an obstruction
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Usually symptoms of bowel obstruction and Gb attack are not similar, and bowle obstruction leads to distended abdomen with nausea and vomiting. PAssing gas may be still present in early phases of bowel obstruction. GB attack on the other hand is chaaracterized by pain under right upper costal margin. His symptoms are more suggestive of gallbladder stones so you shouldhe at least ultrasound or CT scan to evaluate it more accurately. This would also show possible small bowel obstruction. Both these may require surgical procedure so it should be definitely donne as soon as possible especially if his symptoms are worsening.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
