Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Hamstring While On Septra For Recurrent UTI?
My wife has recurrent UTI and is on Septra prophylaxis. She has developed persistent, bilateral hamstring area pain, and the question of ischial bursitis related to ongoing Septra use. She also has skin involved lupus. Could there be a connection with the Septra influencing her lupus prompting these bilateral, proximal leg symptoms? I am a retired family physician and think there may be a connection. Thanks
no relation with transeptra but first culture and sensitivity test should have been done. and most effective antibiotic should have been started. till such time drink more water and alcasol syrup three times daily can start taking nitrofuradentin if culture report is delayed.
