What Causes Pain In The Hands And Feet?

very painfull, could not grasp things or close hands in the morrning, better but not gone by afternoon, then had two surgerys for blocked instestens, my hands totaley stoped hurting, but I got edems in my legs and feet very bad, gained 29 lb in water and was leaking water from my legswas given 2 kinds of water pills, legs went back to normal, if I stop the pills I start getting water again, The straings thing is my hands did not hurt at all any more, not for two months, during this time I broke my hip then my hands wrist and lower arms started hurting again, a lot worst this time, it wakes me up, the cold relly makes it hurt bad, hard to hold on to things, my hips, feet and ankels hurt at time now. can this still be arthritis ?.
