General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Ask a doctor services. I have read your question.

Pai in the hip radiating downwards is commonly symptom of sciatica(herniated disc or spinal stenosis) but it can be hip tendonitis or osteoartheritis/ RA.

You are suggested to see an orthopedic, get physically examined. Get few blood tests(ESR, CRP, anti- CCP) & Imaging tests (CT, MRI, CAT)done.

Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected. You may need the help of a Physiotherapist for assistance of exercises.

Presently for pain you can take Combiflam or Acetaminophen, one sos when required.

Take food rich in calcium, iron & minerals. Take adequate sleep, stya away from stress.

Hope I have answered your query. Take care.
Regards,
Dr Nupur K
