What Causes Pain In The Hip Radiating To The Foot?
I have had pain management injections for left hip area. Just had the second one about 3 weeks ago and about 3 days ago started having bad pain from the hip down into the foot. I also had gout in the middle toe during. I have tried everything I can think of and the only thing that helps is Tylenol 4. I can hardly walk. How long will it last and should I try surgery
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
You need to do imaging tests to see if there is hip arthrosis which is the mst common cause of such pain. This is seen on xrays or MRI scan. If there is such issue then you need antiinflammatory meications such as Diclofenac or Ibuprofenum. Other causes include ischailgia which is compression of spine medulla and this would be also seen on imaging tests. In severe cases, hip replacement surgery can be recommended but at this point, a good physicla therapy and medication therapy may be sufficient.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Wish you good health.
