What Causes Pain In The Hips After Receiving An Injection?

Hi my name is Lois, I had gotten an injection in my left hip (antibiotic) on 1-10, it has been hurting ever since then but, last night I was getting in the bath tub and had my left foot sort of under me to lower into the tub when I went to move my leg out strait it didn t want to cooperate at first but I did get it out strait, couldn t lay down or sit hurt all night, then this morning I tried to put socks on and could not get my leg up so I could. It hurts anytime I try doing anything, Could the nurse of hit a muscle when she gave me the shot??

Hello,

No, it is an actual injection to be given to muscle only, but as you describe your pains, I doubt she might have encountered bone. If a slight touch to the bone can cause you so much pain or if there is any formation abscess like swelling, then kindly get it examined.

If there is no swelling, then the bone pain will reduce gradually with time. You can take any painkiller available.
