Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My right hip has been hurting. Feels like maybe a muscle. When I lifted my left leg up to scratch it I got a terrible pain in my right hip and now it is very sore. It had been hurting off and on for a month or more. Could it just be a pulled muscle or something more? Thanks

General & Family Physician, Dr. Sushant's Response
Hello, Chronic pain in hip may be due to bony abnormalities-abnormal growth or due to repeated injury to muscles and ligaments. It is advisable to have a MRI scan of the hip joint to rule out underlying abnormalities.
