What Causes Pain In The Hips Upon Bending Down?

Last month I started having a little glitch in my left hip every now and then that caused my leg to sort of start to give out from under me. Then side of hip down to side of ankle on the outside of my leg sort of has a pulled, burning feeling. It hurts to turn over in bed. It started on my right leg a few days ago.It is very uncomfortable when I sleep and have to move my legs to turn in bed. i am 3foot 3, 125 pound, take meds for High bp and high cholesterol and monthly pill for osteopenia. I also have Raynaud s. a speckled ana pattern and a positive RA factor that was discovered about 9 years ago. Never dx with RA, lupus, or scleroderma .I will mention it at my 6 month checkup next week, but this is very odd to me. i am active, healthy and work 5 days a week, do lots of yard work and eat a healthy diet.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to musculoskeletal pain. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
