Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Hips While Suffering From Fibromyalgia?
I have fibromyalgia for several years. We are in heat wave 105-115 degree weather. I have developed a deep needle burning pain in my left hip area. No rash I have lyrica which makes me to dizzy to take daily but help when spasm pain gets in my spine so use it for that. I have sample pack 50mg and 75mg. I also taken long time cymbalta, clonzapam and levoxly
Fibromyalgia can cause hip pain so I think they are related . But needle like pain can be caused due to nerve involvement and you should get that checked . Lyrica or Pregabalin is a good medicine but if pain is severe you should be put on some short course of painkillers . Also physiotherapy can be tried.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
