What Causes Pain In The Hips?

i thought I was getting arthritis in both of my hips due to pain off and on for a few years. The findings on my X-ray report say Mineralization is normal for age. (63) Also - Rounded calcifications in the pelvis are most likely phletholiths. But the pain is in my hips. Could pletholiths in my pelvis cause pain in my hips?

Phlebolith is a small calcification in the veins. It's very common in lower body like abdomen and pelvis veins. About 50 percent of female may have phlebolith. Howe'ver they are of no clinical significance. Yes on the x-ray it may be sometimes difficult to differentiate from renal stone but it does not cause any pain or arthritis, so your pain in hips is unlikely to be because of the phlebolith. Rather osteoarthritis is common in hip joints and may be the cause of your pain but should be properly assessed by your doctor as there are other causes for hip pains.
