Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 8 year old grandsughter complains of pain of her inferior labial frenulum. since yesterday . There dies not appear to be sigjns of a canker sore or any injury or bleeding. I have given ibuoriphen and applied extra strength teething gel to reduce discomfort. It continues to be be sore.
As per your complain pain in inferior labial Frenulum when there is no apparent canker sore can be due to causes like toothbrush injury, eating anything hard, burning with hot fluids or chemicals. Nothing to worry as it will heal soon.
You can continue giving her Ibuprofen or Tylenol and along with it you can apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine over it. You can also do cool compresses or make her suck ice lollies. Give her a soft diet that too cooled at room temperature.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora
