What Causes Pain In The Jaw Along With Blurred Vision?
i was seen by a doctor about a mass on my jaw, i was refered to a dentist about the matter. they did a tooth vitality check and the 3 teeth above the mass were infact alive. before a biopsy was scheduled i lost health insurance. last week i noticed the mass was getting worse. the pain is now to the inner and outer side of my lower jaw, and from my chin to the bottom side of my ear is going numb. yesterday i had to pull over and have my girlfriend drive home because my right eye was blury... im wondering what i should do now. do i need to go to the ER? thank you for your time -Dave
Yes, you should get it reviewed as it can be causing nerve compression symptoms. The mass should be evaluated as delay can cause metastasis or distant spread or to the brain if malignant.
Even if it's benign, it can cause comprehensive symptoms which in this area is again, very dangerous as the base of skull has multiple closely placed nerves and vessels. A maxillofacial surgeon review is recommended.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
