What Causes Pain In The Jaw And Chest While On Xarelto?

I am a 52 year old female. Currently on Xeralto for resolved DVT and bilateral PE. Last Friday I had a biopsy on the left side of my thyroid. Tonight I started having pain on the left side of my jaw from about half way between my chin and ear back toward my ear. A few minutes ago after laying down in bed, I started having severe chest pains. The chest pain has dulled but the jaw pain is still there. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you mentioned describe more a heart attack or pulmonary problem than a Xarelto side effect.

Biopsy you have had may give side-effects such as pain or bleeding but to verify what is going wrong please have a consult with your primary care physician. I suggest as soon as possible meet your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Suzana Zharri, General & Family Physician
