What Causes Pain In The Joints And Muscles After Spider Bite?

hi last sat. I was bitten by something unknown, a spider I think. bite area was red and swollen, signs of 2 puncture areas. never festered or got worse. Monday starting to feel sore muscle pains. tues chest discomfort, and sweating a lot. toward the end of the week chest discomfort lightened up but still sweating a lot, now all my joints ache. wrists, knees, ankles. all week long continued to go to work feeling poorly but not bad enough to stay home. awaken the past 3 nights at 1 am with joint pain. now it is sunday 8 days after being bitten, bite area is clear and healed looking. sweats seem to has stopped as of todayso far . but joints still ache. any advice?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
