Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Kidney Post Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy Surgery?
I have had a large kidney stone in right kidney (18 mm). I had lithitripsy and the pcnl surgery on it 10 days ago. I noticed before both procedures that I get growling noises in the kidney. I know exactly where my kidney is since having both procedures. Unfortunately, I still do have some stones inside that kidney as well as a stent placement. I just had a sore aching pain about two hours ago. I took some pain medicine and pain has subsided but now just loud, churning, bubbling pain in that kidney. I can actually push on it and feel the crumbling. What is that from?
HI Well come to HCM Such pain could be due to renal colic and this can be managed with Injectable Diclofenac ( Test dose is advisable prior to inject the drug) even if the pain comes back or does not respond then this need to be investigated, hope this information helps, take care.
