What Causes Pain In The Kidney While Coughing?
i have a bad cough and every time i cough my left kidney hurts. why? also just a little background that may have nothing to do with it but my left kidney is a double chamber system and i have had kidney stones....only problem is , is that it doesnt hurt unless i cough and the pain is almost unbearable ...stabbing pain.

rise in intraabdominal pressure occurs during coughing. this pressure transmitted to retropritoneum and can produce severe pain.specially those persons having slipped disk also experience same problem.
