What Causes Pain In The Knee And Lower Leg?

I am currently in the fourth week of a shingle episode. At the time of this event, I had a severe fall involving the right leg (anterior muscles) lower leg, a well as knee pain. My orthopod took x-rays and said he saw obvious damage. at the time they drained 50ccs of fluid from the knee. Will the damaged muscles take longer to heal as a result of the shingles?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The damaged mussels don't have anything to do with shingles but they both can make your situation worse. They don't affect the course of each other but they both may make your symptoms feel worse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
