Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Knees And Shoulders After An Appendectomy?
I had a ruptured appendix this summer. Was in the hosp. at the time so surgery was done. Doc said was contained in puss pocket. Stayed in hosp for 3 days on heavy duty antibotics. Two weeks later my right knee and both shoulders had pain when I moved them. Went back for follow visit with Surgeon and told them about it. They sent back to GP and he ordered X-rays and an MRI of neck. It has been 3 months since surgery and pain is migrating down my arms and leg. Very painful to first start moving.
You might not be physically active post appendectomy which can be once of the most common cause of pain, you can take tab etoshine MR and Cap. Because Z and I suggest you be more active and modify your lifestyle. Exercise on a daily basis for at least half an hour.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
