What Causes Pain In The Knees And Shoulders After An Appendectomy?

I had a ruptured appendix this summer. Was in the hosp. at the time so surgery was done. Doc said was contained in puss pocket. Stayed in hosp for 3 days on heavy duty antibotics. Two weeks later my right knee and both shoulders had pain when I moved them. Went back for follow visit with Surgeon and told them about it. They sent back to GP and he ordered X-rays and an MRI of neck. It has been 3 months since surgery and pain is migrating down my arms and leg. Very painful to first start moving.
