What Causes Pain In The Left Calf After A Long Drive?

after an 18 hour car ride, with stops, after reaching my destination, my left calf started hurting about half way down , and it is very sore,with pain, and hurts worse with movement or bearing weight when walking. its better with rest, and when sitting an achey pain starts to go up to my knee. i am getting ready to travel home also. any advice would be greatly appreciated

With a prolonged drive, you would need to rule out a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) as a cause of your calf pain.

It would be best to be assessed by a doctor prior to another long drive to make sure that this is not the diagnosis
This would require physical examination and may also require an imaging test called doppler ultrasound which takes a look at the blood vessels.

If it is confirmed, then an anti clotting medication is needed.
