Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing pain in my left foot by my arch. It feels like my foot is separated. It hurts to walk.I am icying it and I wear very good shoes with arch support in them. But it hurts o bad to walk on it. Can you advise me what to take for pain and should I be putting ice on it or should I put heat. What is it?
I would suggest you to do a radiograph of both your feet and check with a orthopedician if you have a flat foot or an abnormality of your arch or a calcaneal spur. Based on the diagnosis you could proceed to resolve your issue. Putting ice does help to reduce the pain, I would advise you to visit the doctor before starting pain medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. James Devadoss
